International Congresses of Endocrinology

The ISE works with its member societies to hold a two yearly ISE-affiliated meeting in rotation between Asia/Oceania, Europe/Africa and The Americas. The next meeting will be held in partnership with the Chinese Endocrine Society on 31st Aug - 4th Sep 2016. Click here for more information on ICE/CSE 2016

Please note that ISE deal only with its Member Societies in the bidding and organisation process of ICE meetings. Exhibiton Centres and Congress Organisers should contact their local Endocrinology Society for the latest status as bidding documents and updates are distributed to our Member Societies only. Invitations to bid for ICE meetings will be sent to Member Societies from eligible regions in September 6 years prior to the event and Member Societies will have 6 months to submit their bid.

Supported Meetings

In addition to the main 2 yearly meeting, the ISE helps to foster the globalization and inter-regional development of, existing National meetings, offering ISE supported Symposia, Plenary lectures and Travel fellowships in particular to member societies from emerging nations.

ISE are proud to have supported the Society for Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes of South Africa (SEMDSA) Annual meeting in 2014. Along with an ISE supported Symposium focusing on Osteoporosis/Hyperparathyroidism delivered by world renowned experts; Prof. Robert Josse and Prof. Roger Bouillon, ISE have provided $5,000 in travel awards to enable the following young investigators from other parts of Africa to present their latest research at this important congress:

SMNE 2013, Cancun, Mexico - ISE Sponsored Symposia To promote the cooperation and friendship between our members in the Latin American endocrine community ISE supported the Mexican Society of Nutrition and Endocrinology Meeting held in Cancun, Mexico on 12-15 November 2013.

Esteemed international figureheads provided an ISE led Symposium on Cushings Syndrome,
ISE CEO at AFES 2013 Business Meeting, Jakarta ISE were delighted to endorse and attend it's second regional meeting of its very active members in the ASEAN region. The 17th ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies (AFES 2013) congress was hosted by the Indonesian Society of Endocrinology in the impressive surroundings of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta on 13-16 November 2013.

ISE in Ghana
The 1st Annual Meeting of Endocrinology Endocrine and Metabolism Metabolic Society of Ghana (EMSG) - December 2009

A trip to Ghana by two of our Executive Committee Members, Paul Stewart (Secretary Treasurer) and Xavier Bertagna, saw the launch of EMSG. The meeting took place at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons - an impressively large and modern building within the city of Accra.

The meeting was a huge success in raising the profile of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism across Ghana and establishing new initiatives. ISE is delighted to welcome EMSG as its latest fully fledged member of ISE. Click the link below for more.

Past Events

The 16th International Congress of Endocrinology was held jointly with the 96th Endocrine Society Annual Meeting and EXPO in Chicago,USA, 21-24 Jun 2014. More than 10,000 registrants representing 96 countries traveled to Chicago to attend ICE/ENDO 2014. The four-day program covered endocrinology from bench to bedside to wellness. Among the many notable speakers at ICE/ENDO, the plenary slate featured experts in diabetes and obesity, metabolism, bone health and thyroid cancer. More than 3,200 scientific abstracts were submitted to this record smashing ICE meeting!

ICE 2012, Italy

The 15th International Congress of Endocrinology was held jointly with the 14th European Congress of Endocrinology in Florence, Italy, 5-9 May 2012. We were delighted to welcome over 5,500 delegates to the joint meeting in the elegant and historic host city of Florence. ICE 2010, Japan The 14th International Congress of Endocrinology (ICE 2010) was held in Kyoto, Japan on 26-30 March 2010. ICE 2010 Kyoto the first new style of ICE under the new statutes of the ISE. The host society, the Japan Endocrine Society organised an outstanding congress that brought together over 5,000 leading endocrinologists from around the world and showcased the latest in scientific findings related to the field of endocrinology across the globe. 15th Asia- Oceania Congress of Endocrinology (AOCE) October 8- 11, 2014 in Cebu City, Philippines

The theme for the Asia-Oceania Congress of Endocrinology (AOCE) 2014 is: LEADER – LINKING ENDOCRINE AND DIABETES ENDEAVORS IN THE REGION. This congress will serve as the platform to present the best practices in the management of endocrine disorders and diabetes in the region, and to integrate the national and regional initiatives in the field. Importantly, the congress will promote unified action to address common endocrine disorders through effective collaboration, awareness of existing advocacy programs in each country, and the sharing of resources among the national endocrine societies in the Asia-Oceania region. As an international organization and in the interest of fairness we employ a regional rotation policy when selecting meetings to support each year. Inline with our global mission, priority will be given to activities throughout the developing world and specifically in countries and regions most in need of support.
